University of Southern California, British American Drama Academy, New Mexico School for the Arts
Lexy McAvinchey is an actor based in Los Angeles, but will always hold a spot in her heart for the mountains of Santa Fe, New Mexico where she grew up. With a background in theatrical collaboration and screenwriting, she is easily directed and brings a strong textual acumen to every project. Having worked behind camera as well, she brings keen problem-solving instincts to every set that help every department achieve excellence. Her passions now lie in film and television acting with a deep interest in voiceover and VR/AR.
She attended the prestigious New Mexico School for the Arts, where she studied Stanislavski, Meisner, Stella Adler, and Le'Coq. She went on to attend the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts and further sculpted her education with Alexander and Linklater. She had the privilege of traveling to Britain to study at the British American Drama Academy, where she starred as the high functioning autistic boy 'Christopher' in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the School of Dramatic Arts with a minor in Screenwriting from the School of Cinematic Arts.
